This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to GameForge services.
By using GameForge services, you agree to comply with this policy and the GameForge Terms and Conditions.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy defines acceptable and prohibited uses of GameForge services.
You must use the services responsibly and in a manner that does not harm our platform, infrastructure, or other users.
2. General Use
You must:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Use services in accordance with game publisher terms and licensing
- Avoid activities that disrupt or degrade service performance
We reserve the right to determine, acting reasonably, whether your use violates this policy.
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1 Illegal Activities
You may not use the services for:
- Hosting or distributing illegal content
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Fraud, phishing, or impersonation
- Identity theft or financial scams
- Distribution of malware or malicious software
3.2 Network and Infrastructure Abuse
You may not:
- Launch, participate in, or facilitate DDoS attacks
- Perform unauthorized port scanning or network probing
- Attempt to bypass or breach security controls
- Interfere with other users, systems, or infrastructure
- Operate open proxies, relays, or services that enable abuse
3.3 Resource Abuse
You may not:
- Use excessive CPU, RAM, storage, or bandwidth in a way that negatively impacts other users
- Run cryptocurrency mining or similar workloads
- Use services for purposes unrelated to game server hosting
- Abuse backup systems, storage, or network resources
We may impose reasonable limits to maintain platform stability.
3.4 Game-Specific Abuse
You may not use GameForge services to:
- Violate or circumvent game publisher terms of service
- Operate servers designed to enable cheating, exploits, or unfair advantages
- Run bot networks, automation farms, or artificial player systems
- Distribute or host modified game files where prohibited by the rights holder
4. Content Restrictions
You may not host or distribute content that:
- Violates intellectual property rights
- Promotes violence, hate, or criminal activity
- Exploits or endangers minors
- Contains personal data without lawful basis
Adult content is only permitted where lawful and appropriately restricted.
5. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for securing your account and services, including:
- Using strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication where available
- Keeping server software up to date
- Not sharing account credentials
You must not attempt to exploit vulnerabilities without prior authorisation.
6. Enforcement
We may take action where we reasonably believe this AUP has been violated.
6.1 Enforcement Actions
Actions may include:
- Warning and request for corrective action
- Suspension or restriction of services
- Termination of services
- Removal or disabling of content
- Reporting to relevant authorities
We will act proportionately and provide notice where practicable.
6.2 Immediate Suspension
We may suspend or restrict services immediately without notice where necessary, including:
- Active abuse or attacks (e.g., DDoS)
- Security threats or compromise
- Illegal content or activity
- Legal or regulatory requirements
6.3 Opportunity to Remedy
Where appropriate, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve issues (typically 7 days).
7. Fraud and Abuse
Where services are used for fraud, illegal activity, or serious abuse:
- Services may be terminated immediately
- Refunds may be withheld where permitted by law
- Costs, losses, and damages may be recovered
- Activity may be reported to law enforcement or regulators
8. Payment and Refund Security
To prevent fraud:
- Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method, or
- A verified alternative belonging to the same account holder
We do not issue refunds to third parties.
Chargebacks or disputes raised in bad faith may result in suspension or termination of services.
